3 Natural Cleansers

Creating your own skin regimen from natural ingredients is not only good for your skin but its easy, affordable, and the most effective way to go. After all the effectiveness of homemade natural skin care edible items is based on the theory that "you are what you eat". I wouldn't say I generally agree with that entirely, many of the foods or ingredients that are beneficial for skin care that can be found right in your kitchen are inherently are loaded with essential vitamins, minerals, nutrients, and healing properties that work with your body to heal and protect the skin naturally without any additional chemical additives or cosmetic cover ups.

My advice for homemade beauty care is to:
* Keep your regimen simple

* Sterilize and dry all the equipments and containers if you will be storing your items for any length of time.

* Its better to make small batches of the product that you would use each day unless the use of a preservative such as vitamin E, C, or benzoic acid is used.

* Do a patch test before applying beauty regimen all over to avoid horrific side effects.
*Hygiene and cleanliness is a must to get the best results.

*Create natural home facial mask according to YOUR skin type. (Please keep that in mind)


You will need Oatmeal, Honey and Yogurt. - 1TBSP of Oats, 1/2 TBSP of Honey, 2 tsp of Yogurt or Butter milk. (Keep in mind this just the minumum requirement, you can make as much as you want)
Mix the 3 ingredients together and apply solution to the face using fingertips to gently work mixture into the skin of the face and neck. If possible allow mixture to remain on the face for 15 -20 minutes 1 time per week prior to rubbing into the skin. Following the 15 – 20 minutes rub into the skin as previously stated. Rinse well.

* BENEFITS- Mild exfoliation from the oats and the yogurt. Moisturizing benefits from the honey which contains Vitamin B.


You will need Pumpkin, Honey, and Olive Oil - 1 TBSP Canned Pumpkin, 1/2 TBSP of Honey, 2 tsp of Olive Oil

Mix the 3 ingredients together and apply solution to the face and neck in a circular motion. This also may be used as a mask and when doing so should be left on for at least 20 - 25 minutes.

* BENEFITS- Pumpkin is overloaded with vitamin A which is beneficial to ageing skin. Honey is moisturizing and contains B vitamins. Olive Oil is also moisturizing. (This is for those of you that may have dry skin and want to prevent skin from aging)


You will need Sugar and Olive Oil- 1 Tbsp sugar, 2 tsp Olive oil

Mix both ingredients together and cleanse the face and neck. *THIS CAN BE MADE IN LARGER BATCHES FOR THE ENTIRE EXFOLIATING OF THE BODY.

*BENEFITS- Sugar acts as an exfoliant and the olive oil is moisturizing.



Olive oil is not onle a remedy for many ailments such as cancer. Olive oil is simple, Throughly cleansing, and highly moisturizing to the skin when used alone as a cleanser. Simply apply Virgin Olive Oil to the face and neck massaging and covering all surface areas. Apply a very warm face cloth to the face and neck several times allowing to remain upon the face until cool. Rinse the cloth and give the face one final warm cloth rinsing.

*Almond, Apricot, Safflower, or Sesame oil all make wonderful alternative cleansing oils.

*BENEFITS – Cleansed skin with no drying.



You will need Oats, Honey, Lemon Juice - tbsp Oats, / tsp Honey, 3 tsp lemon or lime juice. COMBINE ALL 3 ingredients and apply to face in a circular motion.

* BENEFITS - Lemon is midly astringent


Apple Cider Vinegar, that wonderful old-timers home remedy, cures more ailments than any other folk remedy -- I'm convinced! Apple Cider Vinegar includes cures for allergies (including pet, food and environmental), sinus infections, acne, high cholesterol, flu, chronic fatigue, candida, acid reflux, sore throats, contact dermatitis, arthritis, and gout. One reader reported that a shot of ACV saved him from going to the emergency room for heart pain. Apple Cider Vinegar also breaks down fat and is widely used to lose weight. Can you believe that! It has also been reported that a daily dose of apple cider vinegar in water has high blood pressure under control in two weeks! I thought I should give you all a littl history about Apple Cider Vinegar. So back to skincare:

You will need Honey and Apple Cider Vinegar - 1 tbsp Honey, / tbsp ACV (Apple Cider Vinegar)

COMBINE and rub onto face and neck in a circular motion.
*BENEFITS - Tones and clarifies the skin.


Puried Tomatoes - Apply mashed tomatoes to the skin and rub in a circular motion. Rinse throughly.

*BENEFITS - Toning, tightening, and shrinks pores


Mashed Papaya - Apply mashed papaya to the face and neck rubbing in a circular motion (sorry guys I know y'all probably tired of me saying "circular motion" but thats the only thing I can think of right now lol) Rinse thoroughly

* BENEFITS - Papaya is cleansing and exfoliating.
