Makeup Color Theory

'Many women struggle when it comes to finding the right foundations for their skin tone. Many approached me because they said either the foundation came off ashy or it was too dark or too light or too orangy or they seen someone thats dark just like them that pulled it off great. Here is the problem most times women select foundations because they feel like "oh me and her are light so I can get the same foundation as her" or "me and her are dark so I can get this." NOT SO!!!! What we have to realize when it comes to selecting the RIGHT foundations for our skin tone is that we all come in different shades thats what makes us beautiful. One can be dark just like me but they can have yellow undertones and I have red undertones which makes the difference. One that wears a reddish undertone foundation can't wear a yellow undertone foundation. Why you may ask??? Because it don't mix well. This is the best way I can compare it to.Jewelry, we all have a love for jewelry now I'm going to compare this to silver and gold. Many times women say I don't look good in silver I look better in gold or vice versa. But many don't know why one looks better then the other on their skin. Well this is because Gold compliments reddish undertones better than silver would. Silver compliments cooler skin tones which would be considered one with yellow undertones. Thats a known fact! now there are the ones that look good in both but one color is always going to look better then the other. Another way to determine your skin undertone is by checking the color of your veins in your inner wrist. If your veins are blue then you are considered a cool undertone which means yellowish undertones. If your veins are green then you have reddish undertones which is considered warm. I like to look at the color wheel and thats how I determine whats cool and what warm in color. Although I look good in most colors one color I don't look good in is Yellow I hate yellow on me it clashes with my skin. Now I wear yellow accents but you will never see me with a full yellow outfit NO MAME NO SIR. You can use this technique with ANYTHING I guarantee you it will work, when it comes to fashion and picking outfits and colors and makeup etc. By you knowing what looks good and learning about color and what compliments YOU, you will become a pro. TRUST ME PEOPLE THIS WORKS!!!!

Here a color wheel to refer to. I use this in school for Interior Design, I use this for makeup and I use this for fashion. It's engraved into my brain. i suggest that you all get a color wheel and study it.

“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that frightens us most. We ask ourselves, 'Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, and famous?' Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that people won't feel insecure around you. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in all of us. And when we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automates others.”
