The Makeup Dallas Series: Bloggers Preview 2015

This past weekend I attended The Makeup Show Dallas hosted at Hyatt Regency Dallas on Reunion Blvd. The Makeup Show kicked off the pre-events Friday June 12, 2015 of what is called The Bloggers Preview. Some of the top beauty bloggers/vloggers in the Beauty and Fashion industry was there  and I appreciate the opportunity to be a part. This year marks 10 years since The Makeup Show was established and we had a chance to be a part of the success of The Makeup Show Dallas. The Makeup Show Dallas brings industry insiders and experts, over 100+ vendors, makeup artists, hairstylists, photographers, nail techs, students in training and more. It's also known for it's community, network, education, inspiration and some of the top vendors in the beauty industry. It's also know for bringing forward some of the newer brands. So I was excited to see some new brands in the midst.

Kicking off The Bloggers Preview Friday James Vincent who is the Director of Artistry & Education of The Makeup Show gave us an introduction of what was to take place at The Makeup Show. He focused mainly on the Education & Community which is very important not only to him and those that put this show together but also to me so I'm glad he touched on those points. He also mentioned that for the first time The Makeup Show would host a Career Fair which would give the artist in the industry the opportunity to meet some of the top executives of the brands that we know such as Stilla, BeGlammed, Spehora, NARS, MAC Cosmetics, Temptu and more. This is a way to ask questions and possibly land that job that you wanted for the longest or you need to get your start. These are the people that are the owners of the brands and the ones you really want to make that lasting impression.

Then he moved on to the products that was on his table. Some being products that was in his bag and some being products that he truly loved and felt we should check out that wasn't in our bloggers bag. One of the first things he pulled up which you see above is The Makeup Show "10 Years In The Making" book which recaps 10 years of the show and the people that played a huge role in the production of the show. It also has tips and pictorial tutorials from some of the top beauty experts.

Here you see a contour tutoriial from the contour queen +Danessa Myricks

In my opinion this is the best way to get to know the insiders and experts that has played a huge role in the show and what they are known for. This is a great reference book.

This is how you relax in style. This was one of the greatest get away and much needed for me because I have not been on a vacation.

I sat out here for about 2 hours maybe until the sun started to go down. Beautiful right.

Then later on that night we went out to eat this time I got my selfie with Judy

I had so much fun!!! Thank you ladies for making my weekend a blast! TIL NEXT TIME! See you all next year if the Lord says the same in 2016. TURN UP!

    1. I think because I organized my time well at the show it gave me time to relax. I spent most of my time on the education. Thank you for stopping by.

  2. I photographed a fundraising conference here recently. What a wonderful place for photos. I almost always hate being anywhere at 6am, but this breakfast event proved an exception. The manger and his staff from event venues Chicago were extremely professional.
