faithhaller.com:Tips To Youthful Hands

Let me be the first to say, I spend so much time focusing on the skin on my face applying every cleanser, exfoliate, serums, moisturizers and other anti-aging potions to my face to turn back the hands of time that I TOTALLY neglect other areas that are subject to aging such as THE HANDS!

Outside of the skin on the face the skin on the hands is the second place to show signs of aging?

YUP I SAID IT! You can have skin smoother then a babies bottom on your face but your hands could look like a wrinkly old prune. And that my dears is not the business! The hands tells it all and sad to say the hands age a lot faster then the face. Why? Because we use it the most! We use our hands for everything and it gets abused the most and it's exposed to the sun which makes it worse. Also the skin on the back of the hands is a lot thinner. "it lacks the extensive blood vessel network and source of stem cells found on your face" and the elasticity. So with that being said it's time to give our hands some love!

Here are some of the products I've been rotating...

1, Nivea Creme - This is the iconic cremes that suits all skin types. I like to use this after I apply avocado oil to my hands because it seals the moisture in. It has a thick consistency compared to other Nivea products. This product helps your skin stay soft and supple.

2. Nivea Smooth Sensation Body Lotion -  I like to use this when I need a light hit of moisture to my hands. I mainly like to use it around my cuticles and around my nail bed because that area tends to need a lot more attention.  It's great for dry skin and it instantly hydrates the skin.

3. Cuticle Oil - I remember when this particular brand used to be use in nail salons and some I believe still use this particular brand. This cuticle oil softens and moisturize the cuticles. If you need something quick you can find this in sally's beauty supply or any local beauty supply should carry this.

4. Sweet Almond Oil - most of us know the benefits of eating almonds but as far as the skin Almond oil contains some CRAZY fatty acids which is a natural emollient for the skin and helps lock in the moisture by forming a barrier of protection. Emollients are great for conditions such as acne, ecnema, psoriasis, or rosacea. Also another benefit of almond oil is that it has the ability to plump and firm the skin. It works as a natural face exfoliator that helps to remove dead skin cells and stimulate the growth of healthier skin. So using almond oil will help repair damaged cells and give skin a more youthful appearance.

5.Avocado Oil - I am a EXTREME fan of avocados! AVOCADOS everything when it comes to me. It's great to eat and its great for the skin. Avocados contains vital nutrients such as vitamin A B C E and K and minerals such as copper, potassium, iron, magnesium and phosphorus. It contains essential proteins, fibers and phytochemicals such as gluathione, lutein, and beta-sitosterol. OK OK I'm using big words let's get to the point. How is this beneficial to the skin? It hydrates and reduces marks, fine lines and wrinkles leaving you with skin of radiance.  It cures eczema, brights disease and Psoriasis because it gradually removes the scales on the skin. It control itchiness, It is a skin protector. Best natural SUNSCREEN that protects skin from UVA and UVB harmful rays of the sun. It'a also a remedy fro sun burns. It contains antioxidants that are healthy for the skin which helps in protecting the skin from damage. It improves complexion and density. It removes dead skin cells from the skin. It penetrates in the skin restoring the nutrients,. It contains glutamine amino acid which cleanses the skin offering it protection against harsh environmental factors. It controls and prevents acne breakouts in the skin. It supplies fats to the skin which keeps the skin looking healthy. It helps to maintain water in the skin which keeps the skin radiant and well moisturized and nourished.

6. Vitamin E Oil - Pure Vitamin E oil is used for many things and serve so many purposes. For one vitamin E oil promotes healing and is an active ingredient in a lot of hair, skin and nail products. It's a strong antioxidant that prevents premature aging which is why you see this ingredient in a lot of anti-aging products. It's great for wrinkles, fine lines, scarring, brown spots, cuticles and it's great for a night treatment.

These things are important to me not only for the skin on my face but the skin on my hands. You noticed the products I listed are great for hydration, maintaining the youth of your skin, locking in moisture and it can definitely turn back the hands of time through consistency. But always remember...

ALWAYS protect your hands by using sunscreen. I would suggest SPF  30 or 50. The higher the better so you won't have to reapply.. You will be fully protected and really it all depends on how long you plan to be exposed to the elements.

                                                  WOMEN                                     MEN

I can't speak for any other state of city but in Houston the sun has been unbearable almost and on top of that it's hot as a hot pan of grits. So  STAY PROTECTED MEN & WOMEN.
