faithhaller.com | Stash or Pass: Amuse Bouche The Perfect Bite

Hey beauties,

the beginning of spring is here and its the perfect time to bring back my stash or pass. spring is the time for fresh renewed start, and this spring 2016 they are bringing a more minimal approach to beauty. its all about minimal to no makeup with pops of bold colors. the shades trending for this year are vibrant shades of crimson, pinks, orange, and oxblood. i also noticed that a lot of the shades that was trending in the fall have rolled into this springs trend. so ladies you don't have to feel like you behind the times.

oh let me go ahead and put this disclaimer out because sometimes i can be forgetful. i was sent these products from +Bite Beauty  through +Influenster i am not being paid neither told what to say. all opinions are my own.

back to our regular scheduled program...

bite beauty is following through on this trend seeon on 2016 runway by bringing out 34 bold ultra hydrating & creamy mouth-watering citrus flavored shades. i was sent 3 of the most popular shades in tones of crimson, oxblood & more of a mauve pinkish nude.

these lipsticks are made with fresh pressed fruit so not only do they smell amazing but they also taste amazing! (take a bite out of that)

the color payoff is incredible! with on swipe you're getting nothing but quality pigmentation. the formula is hydrating and very creamy. i must say i'm more of a matte lip girl so i'm extremely bias towards the matte look because to me it's timeless. i prefer lusters for photoshoots and maybe a nice date night. i also use luster lipsticks on my maturer clients because it tends to make them look fresher and younger. but these are great quality lipsticks that i believe is far underrated & under the radar. one thing i must add if you don't find yourself eating the lipstick off of your lips the this lipstick can last maybe 4-5 hours for it to be a satin to glossy finish. your girl gonna keep it 100'ned with ya'll...
ummmmmmmm so what had happened was...i got hungry, and i accidentally licked all the pressed fruit from my lips. its not my fault it's @bite beauty fault for creating such delicious lipsticks. #ijs

meet the shades!

PEPPER IS DESCRIBED AS A  MID-TONE DUSTY ROSE WITH BROWN UNDERTONES . I THINK THEIR SHADE DESCRIPTION IS TRUE DEPENDING ON THE PIGMENT OF YOUR LIPS. THE LIPSTICK IS AS IT DESCRIBES BUT ON MY LIPS IT COMES OFF AS A DUSTY ROSE & THAT'S IT. ITS DEFINITELY MORE OF A PINKISH NUDE. HOWEVER I WOULD SAY THAT (AND THIS MAY BE A SHOCKER FOR MANY THAT KNOWS ME) THIS IS MY FAVORITE SHADE OF THE THREE. IT'S A MODEST ROSE SHADE THAT CAN BE USED FOR EVERY DAY AND ITS NON OFFENSIVE. I CAN WEAR IT IN ANY ENVIRONMENT.

GAZPACHO IS DESCRIBED AS A  TRUE RED WITH BLUE UNDERTONES.  REDS WITH BLUISH UNDERTONES NORMALLY DON'T LOOK GOOD ON ME ON MY BARE SKIN. I COMPARE THIS TO A CRIMSON RED AND I AVOID MANY TIMES CRIMSON ON MY SKIN. IT REALLY DEPENDS ON THE PIGMENT OF YOUR SKIN AND HOW IT CONTRASTS WITH THE LIPSTICK. BUT IF MY MAKEUP IS DONE I CAN PULL THIS SHADE OFF. BUT IF I WEAR THIS SHADE I HAVE TO GO ALL OUT FOR MY MAKEUP. BUT THIS IS A BEAUTIFUL SHADE & HIGHLY PIGMENTED UPON ONE SWIPE.

beetroot is described as a  RICH BERRY INFUSED WITH DEEP RED. I would say that this shade is perfect for my complexion. berry shades look wonderful on my complexion and its more of a modest approach for red.  beetroot is more of that oxblood shade i mentioned earlier that's trending on the runway. now compared to the other shades beetroot seems to be less true to color but it all depends on the pigmentation of your lips. if you have a dark pigmented lip this shade comes off more true to color.

what i mostly love about bite beauty amuse  bouche collection is
it's developed and produced by hand by the bite beauty facility in toronto canada, and the collection. check out the video below of their process. you will be amazed.

another thing you may like to know is in the process as was seen in the video every batch is the size of the pot below. so each and every bite product is made in a small batch which allows control and the attention to detail needed when creating with real ingredients. i absolutely love this about bite beauty!

i can go on and on about this brand and collection but i don't want to bore you. So i'm sure you want to know if this is a stash or pass for me...

i would definitely stash this. knowing what i know this product is totally worth the investment even if i don't wear it often. i just like it because of their brand as a whole.

  1. Pepper looks stunning on you! I don't finish a full tube of lipstick often, but just recently finished a matte crayon by Bite (which says a LOT). I don't think they make that shade anymore, so I'm sort of sad. But maybe I can find a similar color in the new Amuse Bouche line. :) I also was visiting my family in NYC this past Christmas and went to the Bite Beauty Lip Lab and custom created a lipstick for my grandmother (her birthday is in Jan.). It was such a fun experience!! You pick the color, finish, packaging and scent/flavor.

    1. Hey Steff, Thank you for stopping by! Wow what an awesome experience. When I read on Bite's process I wanted to go experience it for myself so bad. What was the name of the shade for the matte crayon? If you find a dupe shade for them lip color you will have to customize it by matting it out with powder.
