Homemade Sunburn Soothing Lotion

Summer is here and the sun is bursting beyond the clouds. One thing that is important for skincare is skin protection! No one is exempt no matter how dark you are it is still important to protect yor skin from sun damage. So let's just say you have slacked off on your SPF duties. Ladies & Gent's I am here to share this home remedy lotion that'll soothe your tender damaged skin. Ain't I nice! =D

These are the Ingredients that you will need:
2 tablespoons water-water is known as an natural soother

1 tablespoon witch hazel- treats sunburns just like acne. It basically heals damaged skin, which in this case sunburn is a case of inflammation.

1/4 cup baking soda- baking soda is cooling and will help the skin retain moisture which is very important because once the skin heals it will tend to dry off and peel so you want to make sure you are moisturizing the skin properly

1-2 drops of peppermint oil- On the skin, peppermint oil is used to relieve skin irritation and itchiness and also helps to reduce skin redness, where inflammation is present in this case sunburn is a case of inflammation. It's also an coolant to relieve the uncomfortable feel of sunburns.

Directions: Mix together all ingredients in a container with a lid to form a thick, milky solution. Shake well before applying. To use: Gently apply to your sunburned skin and allow to dry. Reapply if necessary. You may also want to rinse your skin after the lotion absorbs and works its magic because it leaves film as it dries (you know, in case you decide to venture out -- tan lines and all).

This is a bad case of sunburn it's like she's wearing old skin or wrinkled leather. This is not good at all!! My advice just protect your skin but if you do forget you will always have this remedy to refer to!
