Speaking of uniting with industry insiders, I have a great surprise for you all I have brought in Celebrity Makeup Artist James Vincent who is also the Director of Education and Artistry of The Makeup Show Dallas. James has worked with makeup lines and makeup artists at all levels of the industry, James has worked under every genre of makeup artistry such as Film and theater, television, celebrity work, editorial and runway work, training and product development for such companies like MAC, Stila, Armani, YSL, and Make Up For Ever.

We all understand the struggle with dealing with Texas hot & humid weather. As a makeup artist and beauty junkie I always look for that next best thing that will give me coverage but that's not heavy  on the face. James has agreed to share some of his top favs products that will pass Texas Summer Heat & humidty.

It's summer time and as you know James not only is it hot in Texas but in certain parts of Texas that's closer to the water it's also humid. And let's not forget it's also tropical season or as we may say hurricane season so we also get a lot of rain here. What are your top favorite products that you absolutely love and you reach for all the time to create a full face application that we will see at The Makeup Show Dallas and that is water prood, HUMIDITY-Proof and Summer time approved?

Waterproof and long-lasting are key terms to look for when building the ideal summer makeup kit. Start with waterproof foundation like MAKE UP FOR EVER Face and Body Liquid Makeup for sheer coverage It will even out the skin tone and allow for sweat-proof beauty.
Next, look to powders that help keep everything in place.  INGLOT 3S Mattifying Pressed Powder or NARS Invisible Powder are ideal for adding long-wear durability to the most natural or dramatic makeup application.

Eyebrows are also essential for any Texas makeup lover.  Let Anastasia's Dipbrow or Senna Cosmetics Brow Fix bring you the perfect eyebrow application every time - also waterproof and worry free.

Cream eyeshadows come in a variety of waterproof formulation and a variety of colors.  Some of my favorites are MAKE UP FOR EVER Aqua Matic Eye Shadow, NARS Cream Eyeshadow, and Smashbox Limitless 15 Hour Wear Cream Shadow.

Focusing on lips is a great way to get impact in a makeup application without the worry of summertime heat.  Try a sheer stain like Pinnacle Cosmetics or a bold long wear matte like Temptu Lipsticks for a perfect lip that stays put. Finish it all off with a setting spray like Skindinavia or MAKE UP FOR EVER Mist & Fix to keep your makeup in place in the most intense heat and humidity.

Don't forget the body for a beautiful summer look--Gleam by Melanie Mills in Rose Gold or Yellow Gold is beautiful on the shoulders, décolletage and legs for the perfect summer glow.

I feel you can never have too many makeup brushes and I'm loving the beauty blenders personally for myself. What are some of your favorite makeup tools you use for applying cosmetics and that we should add to our makeup kits?

London Brush Company has a beautiful array of angled tools and uniquely shaped brushes that are an amazing addition to any artist kit. I Make You Beautiful The Magic Touch takes the excess water out of foundation making it look flawless and long-wear every time.

Kevyn Aucoin The Eyelash Curler created by the master and makeup artist behind the iconic Shu curler--this universal shape allows you to take lashes to a new level.

Cinema Secrets metal palette and spatula--the original palette created by Cinema Secrets' maurice stein is still my favorite in the industry for practicing good hygine. And Cinema Secrets grooming scissors--this mini tweezer scissor combo allows for trimming brows or shaping faux lashes with precision and ease.

Anastasia or Senna Cosmetics tweezers are two of my favorite for grooming beautiful eyebrows.

Blush, Bronzer, or Both?

Both. Bronzer should be combined with blush for the most natural sun kissed look. Try creating a blush look by applying a pink or red shad of blush onto the apple of the cheek a peach or orange shade of blush onto the highest point of the cheek bone and complete it by adding bronzer only where sun hits the face such as forehead, cheekbones, chin, and décolletage. This color combo will give the most gorgeous and natural blush look.

Lipstick, Liptar or lip stain?

I love all three.  For achieving different looks, lip tar has such a pure pack of pigment. It allows me to use it for a traditional lip application as a lip stain and does double duty as blush.

There are two things that Texas love and you already know James...Sculpted Brows and Highlighting and contouring. What are some of your fave summer proof brow products and highlighting & contour palettes?

Kevyn Aucoin The Brow Pencil is perfect for drawing in fine hairs that look natural. Komiko launches with us for the first time here at The Makeup Show this year and their eyebrow pencils are the perfect size and shape for designing an elegant and natural looking eyebrow. Senna Cosmetics The Brow Fix is a beautiful natural gel developed by Eugenia Weston the original brow guru, who developed such industry staples as the brow pencil.

I'm not a fan of contour palettes. Any product can be used to contour. My must have for contouring is Viseart Palette #1, which is perfect for eyebrow shadow for contour. If I had to choose a contour palette I would say Anastasia, Smashbox, NARS or Kevyn Aucoin all make contour shades that I would keep in my kit.

Can all these products be found at The Makeup Show Dallas this weekend?
