Gigi Hadid's Makeup Artist Shares his tips for a FLAWLESS complexion and I thought you all would be interested in seeing this!
GiGi Hadid also known as Jelena Noura is probably one of the most talked about individuals this 2016. For those who are clueless like I was to who Gigi was, she is an American Fashion Model & Television personality. She was named one of the 12 rookies in Sports Illustrated's annual swimsuit issue in 2014. Now she is getting some amazing coverage that I thought you would be interested in.
If you've been someone who has followed my blog for sometime now I talk a great deal about skincare. With a background as a makeup artist with over 10+ years of experience skincare has become so important to me and how you manage your skin will result in a great canvas to work on. I like to read what celebrity artists are doing to achieve flawless, dewy & glowy skin of celebrities like Ms. Hadid!
Gigi Stays in the spotlight and I can't help but notice her perfectly dewy skin and complexion and I'm going to share, brought to you by byrdie.com through her makeup artist Patrick Ta on how to achieve Gigi's beautiful complexion. The beauty guru shared some of his "all-star" advice for achieving that lit-from-within glow similar to Gigi using products that won't break the bank.
If you would like to get that look Keep Scrolling!
Exfoliate
Origins GinZing Refreshing Scrub Cleanser ($20)
You've heard it 1000 times: Exfoliate for smooth, glowing skin. Ta says the secret to Gigi-like skin is starting off with a good scrub to slough off those dry, tired skin cells and unveil a fresh canvas. We love this energizing exfoliator by Origins that's like a cup of coffee for your face.
Prep and Prime
Maybelline Master Prime by Face Studio, Blur + Illuminate ($10)
An illuminating primer may sound like an oxymoron, but Ta gives it his nod of approval for luminous skin and achieving that "glow from within." After applying this pore-hiding miracle formula, Ta suggests swiping on MaybellineBB Cream ($8) for a "fresh, natural" look.
Strobe
MAC Strobe Cream ($33)
What is "strobe cream," you ask? Just a flawless complexion in a bottle, that's all. If you prefer more coverage that just a CC cream has to offer, Ta says to apply this before the foundation of your choice (preferably one without a matte or powder finish).
Liquid Gold
Purchasing a bottle of Armani Fluid Sheer may force us to eat ramen noodles for a week to make up for its steep price tag, but Ta says you only need one drop to execute a Gigi-esque glow. Phew. That makes us feel a bit better.
Powder Puff
La Mer The Powder ($44)
Remember that talk we had earlier about the primer-highlight conundrum? The same seems applicable to powder—is it really necessary when you're trying to achieve a dewy look? Ta actually suggests buffing on some La Mer translucent powder to set all of your makeup before applying a highlighter (more on that below). The key is dewy—not greasy and shiny.
Pop Champagne
Becca x Jaclyn Hill Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed - Champagne Pop ($38)
This highlighter—a collaboration between Becca and YouTuber Jaclyn Hill—sold out in only four hours, and we totally understand why. Ta does too, which is why he uses it on "a wide range of skin tones." Consider this a purse must-have. Ta suggests applying it with a fan brush on the high points of your cheekbones, down the bridge of the nose, and on your cupid's bow. Finally, Ta says to set everything with MAC Prep + Prime ($22) to "allow the powder to melt into your skin to give it a more glossy, dewy finish." Now glow on with your bad self.
